MobileMe’s recent facelift has also now added support for phones running iOS4 in the Find My iPhone section. During the beta phases you could only use it to track OS3 devices.
More importantly, especially if you have a friend with an iPhone, there is a free Find my iPhone app from Apple. If you lose your device you install and run the app on another iPhone (or 3G iPad), log in with your MobileMe credentials and then you can do everything you can on the website – lock the phone, locate it, send a message etc.
