Phaze has 4 difficulty levels, 3 race craft with another 7 available through unlocks, 16 tracks and a Single race and Championship mode.

At £2.99 it needs to be a very good game and we’ll be sure to bring you our thoughts very soon.

Although it is a pretty standard side scrolling shoot-em up, it is unique in that all the craft and enemies are made from plasticine and explode with superb effects. It looks like it should star Morph!

The levels have the usual power ups and end of level guardians but the gameplay has been perfectly pitched to allow both the causal gamer and the semi-pro to enjoy the fun and control fully utilises the iPhone Tilt sensors so you fly up/down and left/right by tilt alone. Shots are taken care of by an auto-fire feature so no sore trigger fingers. Although it’s not as cheap as some at £2.99 it is worth every penny, grab it now and get shooting.
