DOOM was the first true first person shoot ‘em up and whilst the graphics may seem poor now, 16 years ago it was revolutionary.

Now DOOM has made its first appearance on the iPhone. The game authors, ID Software, have chosen an unusual approach which has received mixed reviews from gamers.

Instead of being allowed to roam freely around the game map, DOOM Resurrection uses a control system which has you on virtual ‘rails’. Your progress through each level being pre-defined for simplicity of control.
